Zenless Zone Zero’s Lucy, part of the Sons of Calydon, is an A-rank support character who deals fire damage and commands her guard boars to attack enemies. You heard that right – she has three loyal guard boars named Grassy, Woody, and Bricky that join her in combat, all wearing Sons of Calydon leather jackets! This unique character design not only adds charm but also introduces a fascinating gameplay mechanic that players can leverage to their advantage.

Here’s everything in our ZZZ Lucy build guide:

Best Lucy Build
Lucy is an A-rank character who deals fire damage with a strike fighting style and has a support specialty.
Best W-Engine | Kaboom the Cannon |
Best drive discs | Four-pieces – Swing Jazz Two-pieces – Hormone Punk |
Main stats | Attack ratio > energy regen |
Sub-stats | Attack ratio > attack > crit (rate or damage) > anomaly proficiency |
To build Lucy effectively, you need to stack her attack stat with drive disc stats. She excels as a support unit in various teams, especially alongside a DPS that can benefit from an attack boost. Pairing her with Caesar can further enhance everyone's attack stats and increase overall damage output.
We recommend equipping her with a Kaboom the Cannon W-Engine for an energy regen boost. For drive discs, use four pieces of Swing Jazz to optimize energy regen and add two pieces of Hormone Punk for a boost in crit rate. Keep in mind that the effect from a four-piece set of Swing Jazz doesn’t stack, so if you already have it equipped on another character, feel free to mix and match with four Hormone Punk and two Swing Jazz instead.
Best W-Engines for Lucy
Kaboom the Cannon is our top recommendation for Lucy’s W-Engine as it significantly boosts the attack of all squad members, aligning perfectly with her kit. If you can't get this on the banner, a higher refinement Reverb – Mark III is also an excellent choice for enhancing her chain attacks within a team.
W-Engine | Effect | How to obtain |
---|---|---|
Kaboom the Cannon (A-rank) | Increases all squad members’ attack for eight seconds when any friendly unit in the squad hits an enemy, stacking up to four times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately, and each friendly unit can provide one stack. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. | All banners |
Reverb – Mark III (B-rank) | Launching a chain attack or ultimate increases all squad members’ attack for ten seconds. This effect can trigger once every 20 seconds. Passive effects of the same name do not stack. This W-Engine is best at higher refinement levels. | All banners |
Unfettered Game Ball (A-rank) | Whenever Lucy’s attacks trigger an attribute effect, all squad members’ crit rate against the struck enemy increases for 12 seconds. The bonuses that trigger by the same type of passive effects do not stack. | New Eridu City Fund pass |
Top Drive Discs for Lucy
We suggest using four pieces of Swing Jazz for a significant boost in energy regeneration and to enhance the damage output for other squad members. For the two-piece set, Hormone Punk is an excellent choice to improve Lucy’s fire damage.
As farming drive discs can sometimes be tedious, you can temporarily use a two-piece set of Freedom Blues to increase Lucy’s anomaly proficiency, or Inferno Metal for a fire damage boost until you secure the desired discs.
