The Pokémon TCG Pocket release date is just around the corner, though some people in a select region already have access to the game. This new app focuses on card-collecting, opening new packs, and trading with others to complete your sets. Developed by Creatures Inc. of the Pokémon TCG and DeNA Co., which also works on Pokémon Masters EX, this app is set to offer a unique experience for fans of the franchise.
When is the Pokémon TCG Pocket release date?
Pokémon TCG Pocket launches on October 30, 2024. Pre-registration is available right now on both the App Store and Google Play. While it appears there are no rewards for early sign-ups, some players are already enjoying access to the game due to its soft launch in New Zealand at the end of September.

What is Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket?
Announced during the February 2024 Pokémon Presents, the Pokémon TCG Pocket is a dedicated mobile app for collecting Pokémon TCG cards. The app is designed around the fun of opening new packs of cards, allowing users to swipe across the pack, tap each card to examine it, and even trade cards with other players by flicking them across the screen.
While we already have Pokémon TCG Live, which has received mixed reviews, Pocket shifts the focus back to card collecting rather than gameplay. It includes a simplified battle system, allowing users to test their cards against others without the complexities of the main TCG rules.
Every user will be able to open two booster packs for free each day, with the option to purchase additional packs as desired. These booster packs will include cards from various series, including the popular X and Y and Sun and Moon sets, along with exclusive cards only available in this app.
One of the standout features of Pokémon TCG Pocket is the ability to zoom in on certain cards for an immersive experience. The trailer showcases this feature brilliantly by highlighting a card depicting Ponyta in a picturesque forest setting.
