Mastering Genshin Impact’s Chevreuse: The Righteous Enforcer Of Fontaine

Genshin Impact’s Chevreuse is the Righteous Enforcer of the Law and captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol in Fontaine. She uses a musket in combat alongside a polearm – and some explosives. Her kit focuses on buffing the overloaded reaction, so you’re sure to pack a punch with her on your team next to an electro or pyro DPS.

Here’s everything in our Genshin Impact’s Chevreuse build guide:

What’s the best Genshin Impact Chevreuse build?

Chevreuse is a four-star character, available on all banners. She uses the pyro element and a polearm weapon.

Best weaponRightful Reward
Weapon substitutesBlack Tassel, Favonuis Lance
Best artifact setNoblesse Oblige
Main statsSands – HP
Goblet – Pyro damage bonus
Circlet – HP
Sub statsHP, energy recharge, elemental mastery

Chevreuse uses a polearm – though her musket shows up in her animations as Genshin Impact’s Mika‘s crossbow does. We recommend the Rightful Reward or Black Tassel options for her as she scales off HP. Pairing this with a full set of Noblesse Oblige artifacts with HP stats. Getting her HP to around 40,000 is your best bet for a good heal.

She’s a support unit dedicated to improving the outcome of the overloaded reaction between pyro and electro, allowing your DPS to do some serious damage. She also provides a little bit of healing while she’s here, too, which can help if your party members take damage from any explosions.

How do I use Chevreuse?

Using Chevreuse can take a little while to get used to, but she’s there to make your overloaded reactions stronger, along with your pyro and electro DPS moves. The best thing to do is to use your pyro or electro DPS’s move to trigger the reaction, then swap to Chevreuse and unleash her elemental skill. This deals higher damage with her pyro application.

Thankfully, getting buffs to your attack and overloaded damage is fairly easy as it’s Chevreuse’s passive talents that add damage. As long as you have at least one pyro and electro character in the team and consistently trigger overloaded, you should reap all the benefits.

What are the best weapons for Chevreuse?

Chevreuse benefits from a high HP stat, so aiming for a weapon that can boost this is key. The Rightful Reward can do this and restore energy for Chevreuse whenever she heals. An easy option is the Black Tassel, which can be refined quickly thanks to it being a common drop on the banners.

Skill: When Chevreuse heals, she regenerates eight energy. This can trigger once every ten seconds and can occur when she is off-field

What are the best artifacts for Chevreuse?

We recommend a healing bonus artifact and a two-piece healing bonus set like Maiden Beloved or Ocean Hued Clam, as part of her kit allows her to heal teammates, but focus on stacking up Chevreuse’s HP stat.

While Chevreuse provides some healing based on her maximum HP, her second constellation’s talent scales off her maximum attack – so if you have this unlocked, focus on upping this number, too.
