Is there a new Star Wars game coming to Switch?
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any new Star Wars games coming to the Switch anytime soon. There’s plenty in the works, with the likes of Star Wars Outlaws due to come out in the summer, however the title isn’t arriving on the Switch and we’re not sure if and when it will. We can live in hope, though, and it will be available to play on Steam Deck if that’s your handheld of choice.
The latest addition to the Star Wars back catalog on the Switch is Star Wars Bounty Hunter, a classic third-person action-adventure game where you play as Jango Fett, tasked with the capture of a crazed Dark Jedi. You can check out our Star Wars Bounty Hunter review to get a taste, but outside of this, we’re not sure about the next intergalactic title.
We still have blind hope that we could see Star Wars Jedi: Survivor coming to the platform in the future, so we can take Cal Kestis on the go with us, but for now, this seems unlikely. It is available as a Steam Deck game, however.
Will the KOTOR remake come to Switch?
At the moment, the long-awaited Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake isn’t announced for Switch. Given that we’ve not heard any updates about the game since it was revealed in 2021, this could change nearer to its release.
The KOTOR remake is set to come to PlayStation, and then likely PC at a later date – though we don’t know a release date for any platform yet. While we wait for news, you can play Knights of the Old Republic II on Switch, though.
We’re always speculating about what other games could come to Switch – here’s what we think about a new Harry Potter game, new Zelda game, and a new Mario game that surely must come out on the Switch 2.
